Eid al-Adha Prayer to Be Held Across Four Main Congregation Areas in Malé
This year’s Eid al-Adha prayer will be held in a large congregation across four areas of Malé.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced arrangements for large congregational Eid prayers in Malé, Vilimalé and Hulhumalé, alongside prayers at 25 mosques across the Greater Malé area.
According to the ministry, the four main congregation venues are the Maafannu Stadium area in Malé, the Vilimalé Football Ground, the Synthetic Track in Hulhumalé Phase 1 and the Sports Complex in Hulhumalé Phase 2.

In addition to the large congregation venues, Eid prayers will also be held at several mosques.

In Vilimalé, Eid prayer will be held at Masjid al-Salam.
Weather Contingency Arrangements
The ministry said that if weather conditions prevent large congregational prayers from taking place, Eid prayer will instead be held in all mosques that conduct Friday prayers across Malé, Vilimalé and Hulhumalé.
The Eid prayer is scheduled to begin at 7:00am.
This year’s Eid al-Adha falls on 27 May.
