Accident between Car and Motorcycle Results in Injury

A car and motorcycle were involved in an accident near the bridge connecting Hulhumale’ Phase one and two, this morning, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist.

The police stated that the motorcyclist sustained cuts and scrapes in the accident. The police are investigating the incident.

This accident adds to a recent pattern of dangerous accidents in Male’ City and Hulhumale’, some of which have been fatal.

In response to the increase in accidents, the police have augmented their traffic patrols in the capital. They also plan to use motorcycles to patrol Sinamale’ Bridge starting this week to enhance response times to accidents.

The police have reported 1,933 road accidents so far this year, with over 200 occurring each month.
