Government Allocates Land for Islamic University Expansion

Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Islamic Minister, announced that the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) has been granted a 35,000-square feet plot in Hulhumale’. 

This move is part of the government’s initiative to facilitate the construction of a new building for the university.

Dr. Shaheem, formerly the chancellor of IUM, highlighted the university’s objective to enhance its infrastructure to accommodate more students, including those from overseas. He emphasized the significance of IUM as an educational institution and assured full support from the Islamic Ministry towards its development.

Earlier this year, IUM also established a learning center in R. Ungoofaaru as part of its expansion efforts.
