Speaking at the ceremony inaugurating the programme, Dr Shaheem highlighted the initiative’s goal of fostering a society that values religious principles and promotes Quranic memorisation.

He praised the accomplishment of memorising the Quran, noting that it represented one of the highest ranks in religious dedication.

The announcement of the Umrah programme for Huffaz was initially made by Dr. Shaheem during his address at the closing ceremony of the 36th National Quran Competition.

Alongside this programme, the Ministry has also introduced a new system for making online donations via its official website. A dedicated page was inaugurated by Dr. Shaheem and will feature news articles, updates on mosque development projects funded by donations, and financial reports to ensure transparency.

During his speech, Dr. Shaheem highlighted the importance of donations, noting that the new online system provides a convenient option for contributors. He encouraged the public to offer their maximum support for religious initiatives.

Donations can be directed towards various causes, including financial support for Quran classes, Umrah trips, higher education in religious studies, the establishment of Islamic libraries, mosque development, sponsorship of religious activities, and mosque assistance.

The Umrah programme for Huffaz was initially announced by Dr. Shaheem during his address at the closing ceremony of the 36th National Quran Competition.
