Authorities continue to urge the public to remain cautious when making online transactions or sharing personal financial details.

The Anti-Scam Centre reiterated its official safety measures, advising individuals to verify all urgent money requests by calling the sender through a verified number, and to never share sensitive details such as one-time passwords (OTPs), PINs, or account credentials.

The Centre also warned against falling for offers that appear “too good to be true” and emphasised the importance of confirming the legitimacy of sellers before making any payments.

The centre also encouraged the public to report all suspected scam attempts immediately, noting that early reporting increases the chances of recovering stolen funds.
