Sun Siyam Maldives Breaks World Record for Largest Simultaneous Snorkelling Event

Sun Siyam Resorts Maldives has set a new Guinness World Record for the most people snorkelling simultaneously at a single venue, the company announced.
According to a post shared on X, the record was achieved on 5 December 2025 at the “Snorkel World 300” event, which drew 307 participants.

The event, organised in partnership with Free Dive Maldives, marked a first for the Maldives, with each participant receiving an official Guinness World Records medal. Sun Siyam described the milestone as a historic moment for the resort, its partners and the local community.
The company thanked guests, staff, local schools and partners for their involvement in achieving the record, highlighting a shared commitment to promoting marine engagement and celebrating the country’s ocean heritage.
