The launch event took place at MPL’s head office yesterday, where CEO Mohamed Wajeeh Ibrahim highlighted the significance of the new website. He explained that it will serve as a key resource for information on maritime services in the north and reaffirmed MPL’s commitment to working with various companies to deliver a broad range of services, including bunkering.

During the event, State Trading Organisation (STO) Managing Director Shimad Ibrahim also addressed the audience. He announced that STO is preparing to commence fuel bunkering services by mid-September, which is expected to boost foreign currency revenue for the country.

Shimad highlighted that, in partnership with MPL, STO aims to offer additional services to vessels, with the goal of further developing the sector.

MPL’s northern maritime operations are set to include international fuel bunkering services, speedboat operations, pilotage, water supply, crew change services, and vessel maintenance, marking a significant expansion in the nation’s maritime capabilities.
