Foreign Minister Delivers Presidential Letter to UAE Leadership

Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer has delivered a letter from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. 

The handover was made to UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Maldivian Foreign Ministry confirmed.

While the contents of the letter were not disclosed, discussions during Zameer’s meeting with Sheikh Abdullah focused on strengthening the longstanding ties between the Maldives and the UAE. The two ministers also explored ways to enhance cooperation on international platforms.

Foreign Minister Zameer expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s ongoing support to the Maldives, highlighting the deep and enduring relationship between the two nations. The UAE has long been a key partner in the Maldives’ development, providing consistent assistance across various sectors.

Zameer was accompanied at the meeting by a high-level delegation, including the Maldivian Ambassador to the UAE, Mohamed Hussain Shareef, Ambassador-at-Large Ahmed Naseer, Bilateral Secretary Dr Hala Hameed, Joint Secretary Mariyam Reesha, and Deputy Ambassador of the Maldives Embassy in the UAE, Hassan Waheed.
