Man Found Dead in Kulhudhuffushi Lagoon

A 36-year-old man has been found dead in the lagoon of Kulhudhuffushi.
Police said it received reports of a dead body inside the lagoon of the island’s north harbour at approximately 8:17am this morning.

The man – who the police identified as Mohamed Hassan (Daisyfehi, Kulhudhuffushi) was taken to Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, where he was declared dead.
A source from Kulhudhuffushi told MV+ that Mohamed has a history of drug abuse and was undergoing methadone treatment for addiction.
The police said that an investigation into his death is currently underway.
