The event, which drew participants of all ages—ranging from children to the elderly—featured a bike race and other activities aimed at promoting heart health. Minister Khaleel noted that from 2015 to 2023, 4.7% of individuals aged 15 to 65 had experienced heart disease or stroke, signalling a significant health issue for the nation.

Highlighting global statistics, the minister referred to estimates from the World Heart Federation, which reports that 17 million people die annually from heart disease. He stressed the importance of physical activity and healthier lifestyle choices to reduce the risk of heart-related conditions.
