The nationalities of those involved have not been disclosed. However, Maldives Immigration has confirmed that three of the individuals have already been deported following investigations, with the remaining three set to be deported soon.
The country has seen ongoing concerns regarding massage parlours, many of which claim to offer professional services but are often accused of being fronts for prostitution. Some expatriates employed by these establishments have reportedly advertised such services on social media, sharing photos and contact information.
Maldives Immigration has been actively working to combat these illegal businesses while addressing the broader issue of undocumented migrants and unlicensed operations. As part of this effort, raids have been conducted in residential areas where migrant workers are known to live.
