Ministry Launches Imams Refresher Program in Addu City

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has launched an initiative to refresh the knowledge of imams in Addu City. As part of a national training project, 68 imams from the region have participated in the programme, which is designed to enhance their understanding of key religious and community leadership issues.

This initiative is part of a broader national effort that has already seen 736 imams trained across 19 islands. The Ministry has emphasised the importance of continuous professional development for imams, recognising their crucial role in guiding local communities and promoting religious understanding.

The Ministry has prioritised providing additional training opportunities for imams, reflecting its commitment to strengthening religious leadership and ensuring that imams are equipped with up-to-date knowledge to support their congregations effectively.
