eFaas Online Face Verification Resumes Service
The face verification feature in the eFaas digital identity system has been reinstated, according to the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT).
The service had been temporarily suspended due to a change in vendors.

The system now uses face verification technology provided by Regular Forensics, a Latvia-based company with a 30-year track record in digital services and innovative solutions. NCIT announced that the feature, now integrated into the eFaas web application, can be accessed via any web browser after logging into the eFaas portal.
The centre emphasised that personal data, including photographs and credentials, is processed solely within NCIT systems and not handled by foreign third-party companies. Regular Forensics has earned the trust of numerous global firms and governments, further reinforcing the system’s reliability, NCIT stated.
The eFaas platform aims to ensure that government services are delivered only to their intended recipients, reducing the risk of identity theft or misuse of personal information.
Previously, identity verification for eFaas users required visiting designated centres and updating information via video calls. This manual process was phased out in 2023 with the introduction of the online face verification feature, enabling users to verify their identities remotely and more efficiently.
