Additional Residential Land Plots in Hulhumalé Up for Bid

The government has announced the sale of 10 additional residential plots from Hulhumalé Phase II. These plots, comprising both beachfront and beachside locations, are now open for bidding.

According to Housing Development Corporation (HDC)’s announcement last week, the offering includes three beachfront plots and seven beachside plots. The beachfront plots measure 1,638 square feet, 1,559 square feet, and 3,250 square feet, while the beachside plots range from 1,230 square feet to 1,534 square feet.

The starting price for beachfront plots has been set at MVR 4,500 per square foot, while bidding for beachside plots will begin at MVR 4,000 per square foot. Prospective buyers are permitted to submit expressions of interest (EOIs) for multiple plots.

The bidding process will take place in two phases. In the first phase, interested parties must submit EOIs through HDC’s designated online portal. In the second phase, a bidding process will be conducted for plots that receive multiple EOIs.

This latest announcement follows the sale of 18 residential plots in Hulhumalé Phase II earlier in October, highlighting continued efforts to expand housing opportunities in the area.

HDC has encouraged interested individuals to act promptly and submit their EOIs via the official bid portal.
