The family, who have reportedly been earning their livelihood through fishing, were found to be in breach of Maldivian immigration laws. Shamman stated that Immigration is now coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expedite the issuance of the necessary travel documents.
The deportation will be carried out immediately upon completion of the required documentation, reaffirming the authorities’ commitment to upholding the country’s immigration policies.
