The main objective of the survey is to identify the labour force in the country. It will also aim to gather labour statistics, determine employment and unemployment rates, and track migration rates to assist with population projections. Additionally, the survey will provide data for the Decent Jobs Indicator and assess the country’s progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The survey will collect data on various aspects, including education levels, income details, migration patterns, time spent on domestic chores, and general demographic information. It will also gather information on employment status, income-earning activities, and participation in voluntary work.
The bureau has described participation in the survey as a valuable national service. It stressed that public cooperation is essential for ensuring the success of the survey and for improving the quality of national statistics.
