Road Closure on Majeedhee Magu for Drainage Improvement Works

The area in front of Male’ Grand on Majeedhee Magu has been temporarily closed to facilitate drainage improvement works, resulting in adjustments to traffic flow in the capital.

According to the Male’ City Council, the closure is part of ongoing efforts to address persistent flooding issues on Majeedhee Magu, a key thoroughfare in Male’.

The works will be conducted in sections, with the first phase focusing on the block in front of Male’ Grand.

The project is scheduled to run from 28 December 2024 to 4 January 2025.

Traffic flow will be affected on Majeedhee Magu between Chaandhanee Magu and Rahdhebai Magu during this period. The City Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused and urged road users to plan their journeys accordingly.
