MWSC Introduces New Online Portal Features to Enhance Customer Experience
The Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has unveiled new features on its online portal, aimed at improving customer convenience and accessibility to its services.
The enhancements were officially launched during a ceremony held at MWSC headquarters on Monday. The event was officiated by the company’s Chairperson Shamhooz Ahmed and Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed.

The updated portal introduces several new features designed to streamline the customer experience, including:
- Integration with e-Faas: Customers can now apply for MWSC services using the e-Faas platform, which is widely used for accessing government services online.
- Digital Application Process: Customers can fill and submit applications online, with status updates visible at every stage of the process.
- SMS Notifications: Updates on application progress are sent via SMS, ensuring timely communication at each stage.
- Unified Account Information: Users can view information for all accounts linked to their profile on a single platform.
- Consolidated Bill Payments: Customers can settle multiple bills, including those from different accounts, in a single transaction.
Smart Meter Integration: For households equipped with MWSC’s smart meters, customers can monitor water usage, check meter readings, and view detailed billing information through the portal.
Speaking at the launch, Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed highlighted MWSC’s commitment to leveraging modern technology to improve service delivery.
Matheen added that MWSC’s broader mission is to continuously innovate and refine its products and services, ensuring that these advancements contribute to the well-being of the Maldivian community.
The updated online portal is part of MWSC’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer experience and optimise its operations for a more sustainable future.
