MMPRC Launches ‘World’s Biggest Giveaway’ to Promote the Maldives
The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has unveiled an ambitious campaign described as the ‘world’s biggest giveaway’, offering 52 opportunities to win free holidays in the Maldives.
The promotion will take place through monthly social media contests hosted on Visit Maldives platforms, with four winners selected each month. Each winner will enjoy a complimentary holiday, showcasing the Maldives as a premier travel destination.
The campaign aims to highlight the Maldives’ diverse attractions, ranging from its pristine beaches and vibrant culture to thrilling diving experiences and luxurious retreats. Specific emphasis will be placed on key travel segments, including honeymoons, luxury holidays, family getaways, and diving adventures—areas for which the country is internationally renowned.
In a statement, the MMPRC said the initiative seeks to engage travel enthusiasts worldwide, boost the Maldives’ global popularity, and reinforce its status as a leading tourist destination. The campaign also invites participants to explore and promote the country’s unique offerings through their personal experiences.
The initiative comes on the back of a record-breaking year for Maldivian tourism. More than two million tourists visited the archipelago by the end of 2024—the highest figure in the nation’s history. Building on this momentum, the Maldivian government has set an ambitious goal to increase tourist arrivals by 15% in 2025.
With the campaign open to participants globally, the MMPRC anticipates further enhancing the Maldives’ appeal and reaching new heights in the global tourism market.
