The government has announced the availability of five commercial spaces for lease within the flat towers currently under construction in Hulhumale’ Phase 2.
Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) previously revealed in November that the 32 towers will include 127 commercial spaces. These will cater to a range of businesses, including retail shops, supermarkets, hypermarkets, cafés, restaurants, clinics, offices, and a fruit and vegetable market.
The five spaces now offered for lease are intended specifically for retail and grocery shops. Interested parties are required to submit their proposals by 18 February.
The spaces available for lease include:
- A 610 sq. ft. unit in Amaan Udhares 13
- A 599 sq. ft. unit in Amaan Udhares 13
- A 1,896 sq. ft. unit and a 161 sq. ft. unit in Amaan Udhares 14
- A 6,788 sq. ft. unit in Amaan Udhares 14
- A 1,896 sq. ft. unit and a 161 sq. ft. unit in Amaan Udhares 16
FDC has indicated that priority will be given to new start-ups, with a focus on supporting small and medium enterprises.
The ground and first floors of each tower have been designated for commercial use, a measure intended to ensure that essential services are readily accessible to the residents. The corporation estimates that the flats will house approximately 30,000 people upon completion.
