Two Arrested Over Alleged MVR 33K Robbery from Expat

The Maldives Police Service has arrested two individuals in connection with the alleged robbery of MVR 33,500 in cash from an expatriate.

The suspects have been identified as Fawaz Kalhuthuhthu, 36, of H. Redhan, and Sofwan Ali, 36, of Lucky House, Th. Thimarafushi. Police received a report of the incident at approximately 02:12hrs on Friday morning. The robbery is said to have taken place on Gulaabee Goalhi in Malé City.

Authorities have not disclosed further details, but an investigation into the case is ongoing.
