Man Dies Following Crash on Bridge Highway

A Bangladeshi man has died following a traffic accident on the bridge Highway this morning.

According to the police, the incident occurred at approximately 08:19 am when the man crashed his vehicle into a traffic cone. The cone had been placed to cordon off part of the Hulhumalé-Malé lane for ongoing work on solar panels. The police have not specified the type of vehicle involved in the crash.

Emergency responders transported the man to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Malé City, where he was pronounced dead at around 09:05 am while receiving treatment.

The police have confirmed that an investigation into the accident is underway.
