Man Injured in Violent Attack Near IGMH

A man was injured in a violent attack near Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) on last night after being stabbed with a hammer by two assailants on a motorcycle.
The attack took place at 8:41 pm, according to police. The victim, a Maldivian man, was taken to IGMH for treatment, though authorities have not disclosed details about the severity of his injuries.
Law enforcement officials have launched an investigation into the incident, but no arrests have been reported so far.
Two Foreign Nationals Injured in Violent Cafe’ Altercation
In a separate incident earlier yesterday, a violent altercation broke out inside the kitchen of Café Thaseeru-1 on Maaveyo Magu, Male, leaving two foreign nationals seriously injured.
Police reported that the fight occurred between a Nepalese cook and a Bangladeshi assistant. A widely circulated video on social media showed the aftermath of the incident, depicting a Bangladeshi man covered in blood with visible injuries to his hands and bloodstains on the floor.
Both men were taken to IGMH for treatment. Hospital officials confirmed that the Bangladeshi man remains in critical condition.
