WAMCO Announces Revised Waste Collection Timings for Ramadan

Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has announced the revised waste collection service timings for the upcoming month of Ramadan, which will be implemented next week.

During an appearance on Public Service Media (PSM)’s ‘Raajje Miadhu’ programme, Ahmed Saeed, an assistant manager at WAMCO, revealed that household waste collection services in Male’, Hulhumale’, and Vilimale’ will operate from 8:30 pm to 2:30 am throughout Ramadan.

However, in the Hiyaa housing units in Hulhumale’ Phase II, waste collection will occur from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, as well as from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am.

The WAMCO call centre will be available from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and again from 9:00 pm to midnight.

Saeed confirmed that the new timings will be implemented on Sunday, February 23, ahead of Ramadan, allowing residents to familiarise themselves with the schedule.
