The initiative follows a previous effort by the Police, which began in September, to tow illegally parked vehicles on Male’ roads.
The Ministry of Transport has previously reported that parked vehicles occupy 65 percent of the roads in Male’, contributing to a rise in road accidents.
In a related effort, the Police, in collaboration with the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), recently towed abandoned vehicles from the roads of Hulhumale’.
