Of the 1,820 people listed as eligible, 1,423 qualify for the three-room flats, while 397 meet the criteria for the two-room flats. Both lists provide reasons for why applicants did not meet the eligibility requirements. Applicants can refer to the housing scheme policy to check the reason for their disqualification.
The ongoing construction in Hulhumalé Phase II includes 2,750 three-room flats and 1,250 two-room flats.
At a press conference regarding the project, Housing Minister Abdulla Muttalib explained that the current government had verified whether the 4,000 individuals on the list published by the previous government met the necessary criteria.
Additionally, the ministry said in their gazetted notice that applicants can file complaints from March 1, 2025 to March 31, 2025.
How to File a Complaint:
- Applicants should submit their complaints via the “Gedhoruveriyaa Portal.”
- If a complaint regarding a person on the list is to be submitted by an unaffiliated person or party, they are to email their complaint to gedhoruveriya@infrastructure.gov.mv or send a letter addressed to the ministry.
The ministry stated that individuals can contact them for further information by calling 4004911 or 4004910.
