Customs Revenue Rises to MVR 363 Million in February

The Maldives Customs Service has reported an increase in revenue for February, with total collections amounting to MVR 363 million.

This marks an increase of MVR 76 million compared to the MVR 287 million recorded in January.
Despite the rise in revenue, imports declined in February. The total value of imported goods stood at MVR 4.4 billion, down from MVR 5.2 billion in January, reflecting a decrease of MVR 800 million.
In contrast, exports experienced an increase during the same period. Goods worth MVR 144 million were exported in January, while the total value of exports rose to MVR 223 million in February, representing an improvement of MVR 79 million.
