Man Arrested for Vandalising Café in Malé

Police have arrested a man in connection with an incident of vandalism at a café in Malé City earlier this week.
The incident occurred at Ice Break, a small café located on Iramaa Magu in the Maafannu district, at 8:56am on Sunday. CCTV footage from the scene shows a man entering the café and appearing to argue with a staff member behind the counter. He then kicks a glass display rack, causing it to shatter, before leaving the premises.

The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Mohamed Razeen of M. Star, Malé, was arrested on Tuesday under a court warrant. He was subsequently brought before the Criminal Court, which remanded him in police custody for 15 days.
The case remains under investigation by the police.
