MMI Concludes Media Training Programme Led by Indian Industry Experts

The Maldives Media Institute (MMI), operated under Public Service Media (PSM), has concluded a three-day training programme aimed at enhancing the skills of media professionals in the Maldives.
The training, which began last Friday and ended on Sunday, was conducted by experienced Indian producers, including Indian Idol producers Ron Crasto and Satish Datt, as well as Ashish Redij, one of the key figures behind the creation of Sony Max.
A total of 100 individuals participated in the programme, including 80 staff members from PSM and 20 participants representing other media outlets across the country. The closing ceremony was attended by producers, journalists, and media personnel from various organisations.
The sessions focused on key concepts and practical techniques in television and radio production, covering the development of creative ideas and approaches to better engage audiences. Trainers emphasised the importance of understanding evolving media trends and applying industry-relevant methods to local content production.
Participants described the training as a valuable opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals and to enhance their creative and technical skills in media production.
