Pedestrian Injured in Hulhumale’ Road Accident

A woman sustained injuries on Saturday after being struck by a motorcycle while crossing the road at a zebra crossing in Hulhumale’.
The incident occurred on Badeechaa Hingun in Phase I of Hulhumale’, and was reported to the police at 2:16pm. According to police, the accident involved a 59-year-old Maldivian woman who was hit by a motorcycle travelling in a north-south direction.

Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist involved in the accident is a Bangladeshi national who was operating the vehicle without a valid motorcycle driving licence.
The injured woman was taken to Hulhumale’ Hospital, which later informed police that she had not suffered serious injuries.
The motorcycle has since been towed from the scene, and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
