Nexia stated that the next phase of the project will focus on gathering information required to shape the plan. This stage will involve expert consultations, public opinion surveys, focus group discussions, and additional stakeholder meetings.

Following the data collection process, a draft of the plan will be prepared, reviewed with expert input, and finalised for submission.

The Ministry of Finance and Planning has said that the National Development Plan will serve as a strategic framework to guide government policies, investments, and national development initiatives over the next two decades. The plan aims to address the country’s economic, social, environmental, and structural challenges, with sustainable development as a key priority.
