From 00:00 on Thursday, all vehicles will be required to access the airport via the outermost route. Vehicles entering the premises must use the right side of the road in front of the taxi parking area, while those transporting passengers to and from the terminals will operate on the left side in front of the taxi waiting area.
Vehicles heading to the airport’s two terminals will exit using the road situated in front of the new terminal. Both incoming and outgoing traffic will also share the right side of the road in front of the main parking area.
The new terminal, which opened on 26 July, has led to repeated adjustments in traffic management. Airport users have frequently raised concerns over the lengthy waiting times in taxi queues and the closure of the main parking zone in front of the terminal for security reasons. While parking was initially prohibited after the terminal’s opening, the area was reopened for public use on 11 September following a two-month closure.
