Komandoo SDMZ NG Wins Ooredoo Nation’s Atoll eSports League 2025

Ooredoo Maldives has announced the conclusion of the Ooredoo Nation Atoll eSports League 2025, the first-ever nationwide eSports league conducted fully online, connecting players from across the Maldives through Ooredoo’s world-class digital infrastructure.
The groundbreaking tournament kicked off on 20th August and concluded on 8th September 2025, bringing together:
- 16 atolls
- 35 islands
- 49 teams (divided into 6 groups, A–F)
- 294 players
The league showcased the power of digital connectivity by enabling gamers to compete directly from their islands, breaking barriers of geography and accessibility.
A closing ceremony was held on 2nd October 2025 at Ooredoo Maldives Headquarters in Malé. The event was graced by Chief Guest, Minister of Cities Hon. Adam Shareef Umar, and joined by island council members from across the country, emphasizing the importance of empowering youth and building community through eSports.

- 1st Place: Sh. Komandoo SDMZ NG – Prize: MVR 25,000
- 2nd Place: Gn. Fvml City AKZ – Prize: MVR 12,000
- 3rd Place: Fonadhoo DMZ – Prize: MVR 6,000
- 4th Place: Team B. Kudarikilu – Prize: MVR 3,000
- Most Valuable Player (MVP): Maanu, Fvml City AKZ – Prize: MVR 4,000
Commenting on the success of the league, Hussain Niyaz, Chief Commercial Officer said:
“The Ooredoo Nation Atoll eSports League is a milestone in our journey to empower the Maldivian gaming community. For the first time, players from 16 atolls were able to participate in the first ever nationwide tournament, that also fully online—demonstrating how Ooredoo’s superior network creates opportunities for youth to connect, compete, and showcase their talents.
