The company stated that it is in the process of procuring a genset specifically for Addu City as part of its ongoing efforts to provide an uninterrupted power service. Fenaka said the measures are intended to serve as immediate relief while the company continues to work on finding a long-term solution to the area’s electricity challenges.

Addu City residents have faced repeated power cuts in recent months, often taking to social media to voice their frustrations and call for government intervention. The recurring outages have sparked growing public concern over the reliability of the city’s electricity infrastructure.

Fenaka has assured that it is committed to ensuring a sustainable and stable energy supply for the region, with both short-term mitigation measures and permanent solutions currently being explored.
