The Regional Youth Representatives play a vital role in ensuring that the voices of young people are heard in regional decision-making processes. They serve as full members of subcommittees under the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee (APRSC) and help integrate youth perspectives into regional strategies, policies, and initiatives.

Iba currently serves as Vice Chairperson of the Scout Youth Council and is a member of the National Executive Committee of the Scout Association of Maldives. She also leads the Muhyiddin Rover Crew, demonstrating strong youth leadership in governance and programme delivery.

An advocate for environmental conservation, Iba founded and leads the Muraka Kudhin Project, a youth-led reef restoration initiative recognised by the World Organization of the Scout Movement as one of the most inspiring environmental projects globally.

Her election highlights both her personal achievements and the Maldives’ growing commitment to strengthening youth participation and leadership in Scouting at regional and global levels.
