The Maumoon Foundation has launched new scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students pursuing Master’s degrees at the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM).
Three programmes have been included in the scholarship offer. These are the Master of Fiqh, the Master of Arts in Quranic Sciences, and the Master of Islamic Revealed Knowledge, Leadership and Administration. Student selection will be carried out by the university, while the Foundation will provide the funding.
The Maumoon Foundation, founded by former president Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom, continues to support education, Islamic learning, and community development initiatives across the country. Its previous contributions include funding higher education scholarships, organising religious programmes, publishing books on Islamic topics, and supplying educational materials to universities and libraries.
The organisation states that it remains committed to assisting academic and community-based activities, particularly those that enhance religious knowledge and leadership within the Maldives.
