Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 Grand Semi-Finals Underway

The Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 entered the Grand Semi-Finals on Tuesday, 4 November, at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa.

According to Tekkers, the evening started with both teams walking onto the pitch to the iconic FIFA anthem, followed by the national anthem. Chief guests joined the teams for the ceremonial player greetings, officially kicking off the semi-final stage.

In the first Grand Semi-Final, Joali Maldives faced Joy Island in a closely contested match. Joali struck early with a first-half goal, putting pressure on Joy Island. Despite relentless attacks and several close calls in the second half, Joy Island was unable to equalise, and Joali Maldives held on to secure a 1–0 victory. This result sends Joali Maldives straight to the Grand Final.  

The second Grand Semi-Final takes place today, 5 November, pitting The Marina @ Crossroads Maldives, the South Kaafu Zone Champion, against The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli, the Dhaalu Zone Champion. Only one team will earn the remaining place in the Grand Final, with high stakes and intense competition expected.  

The Grand Final is scheduled for tomorrow, where Joali Maldives will face the winner of tonight’s match in what promises to be an action-packed conclusion to the 2025 tournament. Fans are anticipating a dramatic showdown to crown this year’s champion.
