Ooredoo’s AI Calendar Introduces Kulhlhavah Falu Ranin for December

MV+ News Desk | December 3, 2025

Ooredoo Maldives invites the nation to explore the enchanting world of Maldivian folklore with the Ooredoo Calendar 2025, an innovative, AI-powered celebration of the country’s legendary tales and cultural icons. This month, the spotlight falls on Kulhlhavah Falu Ranin, one of the most cherished characters in Dhivehi literature.

Kulhlhavah Falu Ranin was raised in a Kulhlhavah Faa and caught the King’s eye during a royal visit. He married her, and she became queen. Over time, she grew distant from her roots, forgetting the meaning of a “Kulhlhavah.” Angered by her arrogance, the King sent her back to the swamp, where she became known as Kulhlhavah Falu Ranin.

This month’s calendar experience immerses customers in Kulhlhavah Falu Ranin’s story like never before. Launched at the start of the year, the Ooredoo Calendar 2025 features twelve legendary characters from Maldivian folklore, including figures from tales such as Foolhudhigu Handi and Safari Kaiydha.

Each month, the calendar introduces a new AI-powered character, enabling customers to interact directly through Ooredoo’s intelligent chatbot technology. Users can chat with the characters, hear their stories, ask questions, and gain insights, bringing folklore to life in a fun, interactive, and engaging way.

Ooredoo said the initiative reflects its commitment to building a Digital Maldives, where technology bridges tradition and the future. By transforming folklore into an interactive digital experience, the company seeks to preserve cultural heritage while fostering meaningful connections across generations.

The company said the customers can access each month’s character through the AI Chatbot and embark on a year-long journey through the myths, heroes, and magic of the Maldives. Ooredoo has instructed customers to visit https://ore.do/aifolktales to access the AI characters and experience the interactive calendar.
