MP Mohamed Ibrahim Appointed MDP Campaign Manager for Local Council Elections

The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has appointed Galolhu Uthuru constituency MP Mohamed Ibrahim (Kudu) as campaign manager for the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee elections.
According to the MDP, former Hulhumalé constituency MP Ali Niyaz, former Dhandhoo constituency MP Yaugoob Abdulla, and MDP Legal Committee member Aik Ahmed Easa have been appointed as deputy campaign managers.
In addition, former Dhidhdhoo constituency MP Abdulla Waheed has been named as the party’s campaign spokesperson, while Villingili Constituency President Hussain Hassan has been appointed deputy spokesperson.
Incumbent Malé Mayor Adam Azim secured the Maldivian Democratic Party’s ticket in a landslide victory in the party’s primary held on 16 January to select candidates for the upcoming local council elections. He defeated former Central Henveiru MP Ali Azim in the race.
