The State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has announced the completion of all electrical works required to provide power supply to the 4,000 housing units developed in Hulhumalé Phase II.

STELCO said the works included the installation of cables to the main electrical panels, the establishment and testing of connections, and the completion of all remaining technical requirements needed to supply electricity from the panels to individual apartments.

The company said the completion of the works clears a key infrastructure requirement for the handover and occupation of the flats, adding that the electricity network is now fully ready to serve the housing development.

The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) began the handover process in October 2025. Most of the flats have been handed over to its recipients.
