Dhiraagu Celebrates International Day of Education with Exclusive Student Event
Dhiraagu launched its Student Connect programme on the International Day of Education, marked on 24 January 2026, by hosting an exclusive event for students from colleges and universities, reaffirming its commitment to youth empowerment through connectivity, innovation and digital opportunity.
The Inaugural Dhiraagu Student Connect (ISIC) Edition brought students together for an evening of engagement, featuring student-only offers and discounts, alongside games, activities and entertainment. According to the Dhiraagu, participants also received a free one-year subscription to the Dhiraagu x ISIC Student Discount Card, which provides access to benefits and discounts locally and internationally.
Speaking at the event, Dhiraagu’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ali Riyaz said Dhiraagu aims to go beyond providing connectivity by creating opportunities and offering meaningful benefits that help students move confidently towards their future.
Emphasising the role of digital access in education, Dhiraagu’s Director of Brand and Marketing Communications, Mirshan Hassan, noted the growing importance of digital enablement for students. Representing ISIC Maldives, Ilyas Haneef welcomed the initiative and acknowledged the ongoing partnership with Dhiraagu. Stated by Dhiraagu, the collaboration has enabled both organisations to deliver practical value to the student community through shared initiatives.
