Ooredoo Maldives has unveiled its 2026 calendar under the theme “Tea with Ooredoo”, celebrating culture, connection and the everyday moments that bring people together in Maldivian life.

According to the company, Ooredoo’s annual calendar continues its tradition of telling stories rooted in Maldivian culture, creativity and shared experiences. For 2026, the focus turns to tea — a simple yet deeply meaningful tradition that transcends generations and communities across the Maldives.

In Maldivian households, tea represents more than a daily beverage. It marks the start of the day, a pause amid busy routines and a reason for friends and family to reconnect. The familiar phrase “Hingaa sayah?” is not merely a question, but an invitation to share conversation, connection and time together. Ooredoo stated that this cultural significance inspired the theme of its 2026 calendar.

Drawing from this tradition, the calendar features a unique tea blend for each month, inspired by locally enjoyed flavours derived from flowers, fruits and herbs found across the Maldives. Each month’s visual highlights a distinct tea flavour, reflecting both the richness of local ingredients and the diversity of Maldivian culture.

Commenting on the initiative, Khalid Al-Hamadi, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ooredoo Maldives, said that connection goes beyond technology. He noted that tea remains one of the simplest yet most meaningful traditions in Maldivian life. Stated by Ooredoo, the 2026 calendar aims to celebrate this everyday ritual while reflecting the company’s purpose of enriching lives by connecting people in ways that matter.

This year, Ooredoo Maldives has expanded the calendar range to include a desk calendar, a wall calendar and a digital calendar. According to Ooredoo, this approach allows customers to experience the theme throughout the year in multiple formats. In line with the concept, each month highlights a specially curated green tea blended with Maldivian fruits and flowers. The desk calendar also includes specially formulated tea, designed to be enjoyed during daily teatime, adding a sensory and interactive element to the experience.

A digital version of the calendar is available online, enabling customers to enjoy the visuals across different screens and platforms. The company stated that it hopes the 2026 calendar will become part of everyday routines, whether placed on desks, walls or digital devices, bringing a sense of culture, warmth and togetherness to every day of the year.
