Deputy Speaker Nazim Departs for CPA Asia Regional Conference in Karachi

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Ahmed Nazim, departed for Karachi, Pakistan, today to participate in the 7th CPA Asia Regional Conference / 2nd Joint CPA Asia & South-East Asia Regional Conference, taking place from 3–7 February 2026.

The Parliament stated that during the visit, Ahmed Nazim is scheduled to attend the Regional Executive Committee meeting tomorrow, where the People’s Majlis will officially assume the Chairmanship of the CPA Asia Region, covering the 68th to 71st Commonwealth Parliamentary Conferences.

The conference is being hosted by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh under the theme “Parliaments of the Future: Redefining Democracy through Trust, Inclusion, Innovation and Peace.”

Deputy Speaker Nazim’s delegation includes Ahmed Riyaz, MP for Thimarafushi Constituency, and Aishath Eaman, Senior Foreign Relations Officer of the Secretariat.
