Maldivian will begin operating scheduled seaplane flights to Alif Alif Atoll Thoddoo beginning from the 12th of this month, improving air connectivity to one of the Maldives’ popular tourist destinations.

According to details released last month on the service, flights to Thoddoo will operate twice a week, every Thursday and Saturday. The airline has set the one-way fare at MVR 799, with a flight duration of approximately 20 minutes.

The introduction of the seaplane service is expected to significantly improve travel convenience for tourists visiting Thoddoo, which has seen growing popularity as a local tourism hub, according to Maldivian.

The company said the primary objective of launching the route is to strengthen local tourism, provide easier travel options for the public, and establish a seamless transport link between Thoddoo and the capital.
