MCS Graduates Second Batch of Basic Correctional Officers

The Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has held a graduation ceremony for the second batch of its Certificate 1 in Basic Correctional Officers Training programme.
The ceremony was attended by Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zareer and senior officials of the service. A total of 19 participants completed the course.
The programme is designed to equip new prison officer trainees with the responsibilities, duties and practical skills required for their roles. It forms part of the mandatory basic training that all new officers joining the Maldives Correctional Service are required to undertake.
Certificates were presented to all graduates during the ceremony, along with medals and plaques awarded to those who achieved higher distinctions. Prison Private Ibrahim Aiham Abdullah was named Best All Round of the programme, while Prison Private Nisham Abdul Bari received the award for Fittest Male Officer. Prison Private Sham Mohamed was recognised as the most outstanding officer from Charlie Platoon, and Prison Private Hassan Fareeh Mohamed was named the most outstanding officer from Ivory Platoon. Charlie Platoon was also awarded Best Platoon.
Addressing the graduates, Commissioner Hassan Zareer encouraged them to apply the knowledge and skills gained through the training and to remain committed to the oath they had taken. He highlighted the importance of upholding the values associated with the uniform and urged the officers to maintain a strong sense of dedication to serving the country.
