Dhivehi Language Book Exhibition Opens in Maradhoo

A book exhibition organised by the Dhivehibahuge Ekedamee (The Academy of Dhivehi Language) has commenced in Maradhoo, Addu City.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage, Adam Naseer Ibrahim.

Vocabulary Tool Launched

During the event, the Minister also launched a vocabulary learning tool developed by Hiraa School in Addu City. The tool, titled Basvaaru, is designed to help enrich the vocabulary of individuals with an interest in the Dhivehi language.

The Ministry stated that exhibitions and similar literary initiatives play an important role in promoting and advancing Dhivehi language and literature.

Minister’s Visit to Addu

The Minister is currently in Addu City to attend this year’s Poets’ Day ceremony, scheduled to take place at 20:30 tonight in Hithadhoo.

As part of the visit, he met with Hassan Labeeb of Hithadhoo, the poet to whom this year’s Poets’ Day ceremony is dedicated. Members of “Shaairunge Vaadhee” (Poets’ Valley), a literary association founded by Hassan Labeeb, also participated in the meeting.
