The Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been awarded the contract to expand the medical and paediatric wards at Hulhumale’ Hospital.
The agreement for the project was signed by Abdul Razzaq Haleem, Chief Executive Officer of the Male’ City Group of Hospitals, and Ibrahim Nazeem, Managing Director of RDC.
The expansion will add 28 new beds to the hospital, including four beds in the Medical High Dependency Unit, fifteen beds in the General Ward, and nine beds in the Children’s Ward. The Children’s Ward will see its capacity increase from six to fifteen beds, while the General Ward will grow to a total of 27 beds.
The project aims to address the hospital’s current bed shortage. Practical work is scheduled to begin next week, with RDC targeting completion within 90 days.
