Over 5,000 Apply for Boahiyaavahikan Enmenah Housing Scheme

More than 5,000 people have applied for land and flats under the government’s ‘Boahiyaavahikan Enmenah’ housing scheme, according to the Ministry of Housing.
The Housing Ministry reported to Public Service Media yesterday that a total of 5,067 applications have been received to date. Of these, 3,434 applications were submitted for flats and 1,633 for land plots.
Applications for the new housing scheme opened in January, offering 15,000 land plots and 7,900 flats in the Greater Malé area. The scheme includes 7,900 flats and 15,000 land plots measuring 1,250 square feet each in the Greater Malé region and Rasmale’.
Applications must be submitted through a dedicated digital portal. The deadline for land plot applications is 11:59 pm on 5 March, while applications for flats will close at 11:59 pm on 18 April.
The land scheme is divided into two categories. Registered residents of Malé and applicants under priority categories are eligible to receive land from the Greater Malé area and Rasmale’, while individuals from other islands who reside in Malé will be allocated land from Rasmale’.
