Dhiraagu to Hold GudiFest at Usfasgandu on Friday

Dhiraagu is set to host its GudiFest event in Malé on Friday, the company said. 

The event is scheduled to take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Usfasgandu. Children of all ages have been invited to attend, with the company announcing that each participant will receive a complimentary kite.

Dhiraagu launched GudiFest in 2023 to encourage children to take part in the traditional practice of kite flying during Ramadan evenings. The company confirmed that the event will be held in multiple locations across the Maldives this year.

Dhiraagu stated that it continues to organise public activities during Ramadan, alongside promotional campaigns, as part of its engagement with communities. The company also said it remains committed to promoting and preserving Dhivehi cultural traditions through various initiatives.
