STELCO Launches “Vashani” Portal to Streamline Customer Services

STELCO has launched its new customer service portal, “Vashani,” aimed at streamlining access to its services.
The portal was inaugurated today by STELCO’s acting Deputy Managing Director, Dr Ali Azwar. According to the company, any Maldivian with a digital ID, e-Faas, can register with the platform.
Speaking at the launch, Dr Azwar described Vashani as the first portal of its kind in the Maldives, forming part of broader efforts to digitise public services nationwide. He said the portal represents a significant milestone for STELCO, reflecting years of work by the company’s staff.
The portal will also facilitate approvals for applications submitted by licensed engineers, in line with requirements set by the Utility Regulatory Authority. Dr Azwar added that the system is designed to provide a more convenient and efficient service experience for the general public.
